Rylie J. Neale is a Baltimore girl living in NYC. From the very start, she never wanted to follow society’s blueprint: go to college, get a 9-to-5, get married, buy a house with a white picket fence, and have 2.5 children. While that structure works for a lot of people, it never felt right for her. She has always found it more liberating to  blaze her own trail. After working in the film industry for years, Rylie discovered her passion for painting during the 2023 SAG-AFTRA strike. Still craving an outlet for creative expression while on strike, she dove headfirst into the art world. 

Rylie unearthed a new excitement in connecting with people looking to add inspiration and beauty into their lives. She relies heavily on her intuition and affinity for freedom. The quest to capture that feeling on the canvas comes through in her expressive brushstrokes and deliberate drips. Often working in oil and mixed media, she hopes to help others remember to “have fun along the way” in this thing called life.

These days, Rylie spends a lot of time in her Brooklyn studio. Often with her mini dachshund, Otis, at her feet. Listening to music is a must while painting, and if you look closely, you might even be able to find some lyrics or other hidden messages in some of her pieces.
